Schedule: Full-Time | Monday–Friday | 8:00 AM–4:30 PM

Position Overview

As a Workforce Development Specialist
, you will mentor and support youth as they work toward educational, career, and personal goals. This role focuses on building relationships, removing barriers, and connecting participants with employment and training opportunities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Mentor and coach youth as they transition into employment or post-secondary education.
  • Help participants identify and overcome barriers to success.
  • Assess participant needs and develop individualized goal plans.
  • Teach employability, life skills, and workforce readiness competencies.
  • Track participant progress and maintain accurate documentation.
  • Build relationships with employers, schools, and community partners.
  • Collaborate with the JOG team to ensure participant success.
  • Promote JOG's mission, standards, and program objectives.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • Experience working with youth required.
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Microsoft Outlook

  • Ability to travel locally during the day within a five-county service area.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation preferred.
