The Warehouse Associate is responsible for a variety of tasks that support the distribution, logistics and administrative operations. This role supports daily operations, processes/procedures and supporting the sub-contractor program with a “hands on” approach.
Key Responsibilities (Other duties as assigned)Perform the functions of the Warehouse Associate including, but not limited to, the following:
- Forklift operations
- Cut and prepare lumber for upcoming builds
- Communicates clearly and effectively with both verbally and in written formats
A Warehouse Associate is responsible for varied daily tasks such as lifting up to 80 pounds, processing and packing orders, counting inventory and ensuring orders are shipped and ready in a timely manner. Our warehouse associate is frequently required to work in inside and outside environmental conditions and exposed to noise. Frequently required to lift, push and pull various materials and equipment throughout the day, including: 4x4 12ft treated timbers, 4x8 5/8’ plywood sheets, use of radial arm saw to cut dimensional lumber, 80lb bundles of shingles from pallet / floor level, loading and unloading bulky wooden playset component boxes.
RequiredEducation and Experience
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Familiarity with construction and/or building materials (Knowledge of the construction industry or Installed services is preferred)
- Inventory control and profit and loss
- Reliable vehicle as transportation and valid drivers’ license
