Material Control Handler
The Material Control Handler is a warehouse position designed to perform traditional warehouse duties with an emphasis on preparing our technicians for their daily assignments. This is a critical role to ensure a timely departure for technicians and to ensure proper inventory levels.
Responsibilities:- Customer premise equipment handling
- Staging, Packaging, Cleaning, Shipping, Tracking, Testing, Troubleshooting. This requires the ability to follow work orders for necessary equipment. - Inventory control
- Receive, issue and count inventory. Providing regular updates to management regarding any inventory issues. - Clean and organize warehouse and surrounding property, load and unload shipments
- Operating a forklift
- Working outdoors and in the elements on occasion
- Accurately maintain daily log sheet and inventory paperwork
- Following Armstrong safety policies
- Maintain vehicle and equipment to Armstrong standards
- Assist in maintenance of company vehicles
- Other duties as assigned
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Computer experience to include Microsoft Office
- Must have a valid driver's license and excellent driving record
- Must be able to work efficiently under time constraints
- Must be able to lift up to 75 pounds on a frequent basis
- Must meet weight limit requirements necessary for safe use of a ladder
- Must possess strong interpersonal skills, a positive attitude, hands-on work ethic, and a desire to learn
- Must be willing to work flexible hours when needed
