CNC Machinist

Kelly Services is hiring an experienced CNC Machinist in St. Louis, MO. This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established precision machining company serving the aerospace industry, the U.S. government, and allied partners.

Pay: $20–$30 per hour, based on experience
Shift: 7:00 a.m.–3:30 p.m.

Responsibilities
  • Set up and operate CNC lathes and milling machines according to blueprint specifications.
  • Select and align fixtures, cutting tools, attachments, accessories, and materials.
  • Machine precision parts while meeting aerospace quality standards.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, work instructions, and dimensional specifications.
  • Perform quality inspections using calipers, micrometers, and other precision measuring instruments.
  • Make machine adjustments and modify program speeds and feeds as needed.
  • Monitor machining operations and troubleshoot equipment or quality issues.
  • Maintain production schedules while ensuring accuracy and quality.
  • Follow all company safety procedures and manufacturing requirements.
Qualifications
  • Previous CNC machining experience, including CNC lathe and/or mill operation.
  • Experience with Mazak, Fanuc, and Haas controls or equipment strongly preferred.
  • Ability to accurately use calipers and micrometers.
  • Strong understanding of precision measurements, including the difference between thousandths (.001) and ten-thousandths (.0001).
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
  • Working knowledge of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T) is a plus.
  • Experience machining various metal and plastic materials.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and basic math skills.
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Completion of a machining apprenticeship or technical training program is preferred.
  • Journeyman-level machining experience is a plus.
