Job Description:

We are seeking a Spec. in Procurement for our Melbourne, Florida location to support and execute procurement activities related to the acquisition of raw materials, goods, and services. This role involves management of supplier relationships and contributing to supply chain performance within a dynamic, regulated environment. The successful candidate will support efforts to ensure procurement activities align with procedural guidelines while maintaining compliance with applicable anti-corruption ethics, laws, and regulations.

Essential Functions:
  • Manages the full end-to-end procurement lifecycle, including strategic sourcing, competitive bidding, price and contract negotiation, contract execution, and ongoing supplier performance management, ensuring alignment with program objectives and organizational goals.
  • Leads and conducts negotiations with suppliers on pricing, terms and conditions, delivery schedules, and contractual obligations, leveraging market intelligence and cost analysis to achieve optimal outcomes and maximum value for the organization.
  • Establishes, develops, and maintains strategic relationships with key suppliers, serving as a primary point of contact and fostering long-term partnerships that support supply chain stability, performance, and continuous improvement.
  • Ensures full compliance with all procurement activities with applicable company policies, procedures, federal regulations, and contractual requirements, including FAR/DFAR clauses, and quality provisions, proactively identifying and addressing areas of non-compliance.
  • Monitors and analyzes supply chain performance through metrics and KPIs, identifying opportunities and implementing corrective actions to drive cost savings and schedule adherence.
  • Participates in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance procurement processes, efficiency, and effectiveness.
  • Cultivates and maintains strong internal customer and program relationships, fostering a collaborative environment built on trust, transparency, and a shared commitment to program success.
  • Experience presenting procurement strategies, risk assessments, and program updates to senior leadership and program stakeholders.
Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 6 years prior related experience. Graduate Degree with a minimum of 4 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 10 years of prior related experience.
  • 8 years’ experience in Procurement and/or Subcontracts. Experience to be one or a combination of the following:
    Supply Chain, Subcontracts, Contracts, Procurement, Program Management, Engineering, Quality, Regulatory Compliance, Legal and Government compliance, and/or Finance. Coursework, or practical experience that demonstrates business acumen, compliance, legal, negotiations skills, analytical mindset, strategy development and execution.
Preferred Qualificartions:
  • MRP experience.
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Working knowledge of MRP/ERP systems(e.g., SAP, Oracle) and e-procurement platforms.
  • Ability to analyze supply chain data, metrics, and KPIs to support decision-making.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with ability to present to various levels of management and program teams.
  • Collaborative team player with the ability to work effectively across functional organizations.
  • Self-motivated with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
  • Familiarity with FAR/DFARS/ITAR laws, rules, and regulations.
