Salary: $70,000 - $95,000 per year

• Support the full preconstruction process by preparing accurate, competitive cost estimates and coordinating all bid administration activities
• Review bidding opportunities and assist in evaluating project requirements
• Prepare and maintain bid schedules, plan distribution records, and estimating documentation
• Solicit bids from subcontractors and vendors to ensure appropriate trade coverage and competitive pricing
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with subcontractors, suppliers, and industry partners
• Prepare detailed quantity takeoffs and material estimates from drawings and specifications
• Analyze plans, specifications, and other project documents to develop accurate cost estimates
• Prepare and distribute subcontractor bid packages
• Communicate project requirements, clarifications, addenda, and bid updates to subcontractors and vendors
• Evaluate subcontractor and vendor quotations for completeness, accuracy, and compliance with project requirements
• Identify opportunities to improve pricing, reduce risk, and increase competitiveness
• Maintain accurate estimating records and enter relevant information into estimating software and company systems
• Ensure estimates and bid submissions are completed accurately and submitted by established deadlines
• Work closely with the Director of Preconstruction, Project Management, owners, architects, and consultants
• Identify project risks, develop value-driven solutions, and support successful project pursuits through award and turnover to Operations

• Proven experience in construction estimating or related preconstruction role (typically 3+ years preferred)
• Strong ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and project documents
• Experience performing detailed quantity takeoffs and developing cost estimates
• Demonstrated success coordinating with subcontractors and evaluating bids
• Proficiency with estimating software and Microsoft Office (especially Excel)
• Excellent organizational, communication, and relationship-building skills
• Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple bids and tight deadlines
• Knowledge of commercial construction methods, materials, and local market conditions preferred
• Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field a plus
