Commercial Construction Superintendent

Role Description The Commercial Construction Superintendent is a full-time, on-site role based in Melbourne, FL. This position is responsible for overseeing daily field operations, including coordinating subcontractors, managing construction schedules, and ensuring work is completed according to plans, specifications, and quality standards. The superintendent monitors site safety, conducts regular inspections, and enforces compliance with all safety regulations and company policies. The role includes tracking progress, assisting with budgeting and cost control, managing materials and equipment, and communicating regularly with project managers, owners, and inspectors.

The superintendent also prepares daily reports, resolves on-site issues, and supports timely completion of projects within scope and budget.
Qualifications

• Candidates should possess strong Construction Site Management skills, including supervising field personnel, coordinating subcontractors, and maintaining site documentation.
• Candidates should possess Construction Safety skills, with experience enforcing OSHA standards, conducting safety meetings, and promoting a safe work environment.
• Candidates should possess solid Organization Skills, including managing schedules, sequencing work, and handling multiple tasks and priorities effectively.
• Candidates should possess Budgeting skills, such as assisting with cost control, tracking labor and materials, and supporting adherence to project budgets.
• Candidates should possess Project Management skills, including planning daily activities, monitoring progress, and collaborating with project stakeholders to meet deadlines.
• Relevant qualifications include prior experience as a superintendent or similar role in commercial construction, familiarity with construction drawings and specifications, and strong communication and problem-solving abilities.
• Additional beneficial qualifications include proficiency with construction management software, a valid driver's license, and applicable certifications in safety (e.g., OSHA 30) or construction management.
