OverviewReporting to the President of Construction Services, the Vice President of Preconstruction provides executive leadership for BRPH's integrated project development and preconstruction function across all Construction Services markets. This position is accountable for converting qualified opportunities into executable, risk-informed projects by integrating architecture, engineering, estimating, planning, procurement, constructability, and construction strategy from the earliest stages of project development. The role supports the company's growth, profitability, client-service, safety, quality, and integrated-delivery objectives.
Job Responsibilities Executive Leadership and Strategy- Develop and execute the Construction Services preconstruction and integrated project-development strategy in alignment with the company's strategic plan, market priorities, revenue goals, margin expectations, and integrated architecture, engineering, and construction business model.
- Lead the enterprise preconstruction organization, including structure, staffing, capacity planning, budgets, performance standards, and resource allocation across pursuits and markets.
- Advise the President of Construction Services and executive leadership on opportunity selection, project delivery strategy, competitive positioning, BRPH's role in the delivery model, commercial terms, design and construction integration, and preconstruction risk.
- Establish key performance indicators for pipeline conversion, design-to-budget performance, estimate accuracy, preconstruction cost and schedule performance, client satisfaction, design and construction integration, and operational handoff effectiveness.
- Promote a culture of accountability, collaboration, disciplined decision-making, continuous improvement, safety, and quality.
- Partner with business development, market leaders, architecture and engineering leadership, and operations to qualify opportunities, establish capture strategies, define BRPH's integrated value proposition, and make informed go/no-go recommendations.
- Provide executive oversight for major proposals, interviews, progressive design-build and design-build pursuits, negotiated work, construction management at risk opportunities, alternative delivery approaches, and competitive bids.
- Engage clients early to understand business drivers, functional and technical requirements, scope, budget, schedule, risk tolerance, decision criteria, and preferred delivery approach; translate those priorities into a coordinated integrated project-development and preconstruction plan.
- Lead or support executive-level client presentations and commercial discussions, including project delivery strategy, preconstruction scope and fees, design and construction integration, assumptions, risk allocation, early-work opportunities, and BRPH's value proposition.
- Build and maintain productive relationships with owners, BRPH architecture and engineering leaders, external design partners, trade partners, suppliers, and other strategic industry partners.
