The Department of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering at Florida Institute of Technology invites applications for a full-time tenure-track faculty position at the Assistant Professor level, beginning in Fall 2026. Qualified candidates must possess a B.S. in Chemical Engineering and a Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering or a closely related engineering field with outstanding record of research accomplishments as evidenced by high-impact scholarly publications and strong potential to attract external research funding.

We are seeking an individual with professional ethics, strong interpersonal skills, excellent verbal/written communication skills, and ability to work collaboratively with colleagues both within and outside the department. A successful candidate will be expected to develop an independent externally funded research program, demonstrate commitment to teaching excellence at both undergraduate and graduate levels, contribute to curriculum development, and provide quality service to the department, the university, and the Chemical Engineering profession.

While applications in all areas of chemical engineering will be considered, candidates with expertise in computational chemical engineering in the areas of multi-scale modeling, molecular simulation, process optimization, data science, artificial intelligence, and machine learning are particularly encouraged to apply.
