Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems has an opening for a Electrical and Environmental – Product Trainer or Principal Product Trainer to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position will be in Melbourne, FL for the Product Support Group. Operating on our 9/80 schedule meaning you will get every other Friday off. The position has no opportunity for remote or telework.
A successful candidate needs to be experienced with Aircraft Electrical and Environmental Systems Specialty (2A6X6). The candidate needs to also have experience in Instructional Systems Development (ISD) framework for analyzing, designing, developing, implementing, and evaluating (ADDIE) learning systems. Select appropriate instructional methods such as individual training, group instruction, self-study, lectures, demonstration-performance, problem-based learning, student-centered learning, and guided discussion. Support, build, and promote a positive and collaborative culture across all teams.
Develop and maintain intermediate level knowledge as a Product Trainer or Advanced level knowledge on E&E sub-competencies as a Principal Product Trainer. Strong written and verbal communication skills are required, as well as strong organizational skills and an ability to work independently in a deadline-oriented environment.
Duties Include:
- Develops training curriculum, study outlines, and orientation materials for Electrical and Environmental systems, subsystems, components, and associated test equipment
- Support the development of criteria for evaluating effectiveness of training activities
- Continuously revises lesson plans to meet new training requirements and maintain updated technical information
- Provide input to meet new training requirements and to keep technical information up to date
- Demonstrate and use effective training analysis, project management, course development and evaluation skills
- Develop instruction materials – self-paced guides, case studies, job aids, evaluations; scenario-based course outlines
- Develop training materials – classroom materials, instructor guides, student manuals, workbooks, related materials; curricula to support program implementation across target audiences
- Collaborate with subject matter experts (SMEs) to identify specific training needs and develop solutions for satisfying unique skills-based training requirements
- Create and analyze assessments to evaluate learning effectiveness and instructional improvement opportunities – e.g., pre-tests, post-tests, and quizzes
- Use ISD current Learning Theory to solve complex learning and performance problems
- Basic Qualifications for a Product Trainer (A02): 2 Years of relevant experience with a Bachelor’s degree;
