Assistant Professor – Aerospace Engineering (Tenure Track)
The Department of Aerospace, Physics and Space Sciences (APSS) at the Florida Institute of Technology invites applications for multiple full-time tenure track Assistant Professor positions in the Aerospace Engineering program, with a start date of August 2026.
Responsibilities- Commit to teaching excellence at undergraduate and graduate levels.
- Develop a nationally recognized externally funded research program.
- Contribute to the institution and profession through service.
- Aerospace Composite Structures
- Aerodynamics & Flight Mechanics
- Space Instrumentation
- Digital Engineering of Aerospace Systems
Both theoretical and experimental background are suitable. Candidates with exceptional strength in other aerospace engineering areas will also be considered.
Qualifications- Ph.D. in Aerospace Engineering or a closely related field.
- Demonstrated commitment to teaching and research.
- Evidence of research experience and potential for external funding.
