Summary/Scope/Goal: Under the direction of the site coordinator, provide leadership for the supervision and development necessary for a successful childcare program.

• Required:
  
  High School diploma or equivalent.
• Required:
  
  One (1) year successful experience in childcare or similar program.
• Preferred:
  Associate’s degree from an accredited educational institution in Early Childhood, Elementary Education, or a related field.

• Required:
  
  Department of Children and Families Standards for Quality After school Programs (SQAP—8 hours online and in-service) and Quality Self-Assessment and Improvement of After school Programs (SQAI—4 hours online as in-service) or equivalent DCF-AMAP Course Achieving and Maintaining Quality After school Programs—12 hours; and School Age Certification/BAS Academy Levels I, II, and III (72 hours online) completed within 90 days of appointment.
• Required:
  
  American Red Cross or American Heart Association First Aid/CPR/AED certification.
• Required:
  
  Valid State Driver’s license.
• Preferred: CDA (Child Development Associate) Certification or Vocational Child Care Training degree.
