Student Support Services STEM Adjunct

The Student Success and Support Center is seeking an Academic Support Services Adjunct Instructor to provide undergraduateacademic assistance in STEM disciplines, including courses in Mathematics, Engineering, and related fields. Areas of support may include Calculus, Differential Equations, Physics, Thermodynamics,Statics, Dynamics, and other engineering coursework. The ideal candidate will have advanced knowledge in STEM disciplines, strong interpersonal skills, and a commitment to fostering student success.

Provide one-on-one and groupacademic support for undergraduate students in STEM disciplines,including but not limited to:

• Mathematics (e.g., Calculus, Differential Equations)
• Engineering (e.g. Statics, Dynamics, and Thermodynamics)
• Physics (e.g. Mechanics, Electromagnetic Theory)
• Develop and implement effective tutoring strategies toaddress diverse learning needs and enhance student understanding ofcourse material.
• Assist students with problem-solving techniques, exampreparation, and comprehension of theoretical and practicalconcepts
• Participate in periodic training sessions and professional development opportunities to enhance tutoring skills

A master’s degree in a STEM field is required and Ph.Dpreferred

Prior experience in tutoring, teaching, or academic support at the college level is preferred.

Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to effectively interact with a diverse student population.

Florida Tech’s 2025 Annual Security and Fire Safety Report includes statistics for the previous three years concerning reported crimes that occurred on campus; in certain off-campus buildings or property owned or controlled by Florida Tech; and on public property within, or immediately adjacent to and accessible from,the campus.
