Music Teacher

Music & Arts is seeking a passionate Music Teacher to provide private and group lessons in our retail store. You will teach students of varying ages and skill levels, develop lesson plans, track progress, and prepare students for performances and school programs. Partner with store staff to support rentals, instrument care, and accessory recommendations. You'll foster a positive, inclusive learning environment while modeling professionalism and great customer service.

This role is ideal for educators who love inspiring students and want flexible, part-time hours in a mission-driven music retail setting.

Responsibilities

• Provide private and group music lessons to students of varying ages and skill levels
• Create and adapt lesson plans aligned with student goals and school programs
• Assess and track student progress, providing regular feedback to students and parents
• Prepare students for recitals, auditions, and school performances
• Collaborate with store staff to support rentals, instrument care, and accessory recommendations
• Maintain a safe, inclusive, and engaging classroom environment
• Uphold Music & Arts teaching standards and policies
• Participate in occasional in-store events and community outreach activities
