The Preschool Director is a full-time, on-site role based in Melbourne, FL, responsible for the overall leadership and daily operation of the preschool program. This role includes overseeing curriculum implementation, ensuring age-appropriate learning experiences, and supporting educators in delivering high-quality instruction and care. The Preschool Director manages staff scheduling, training, and performance, fosters positive relationships with families, and promotes a safe, inclusive, and nurturing environment.
Day-to-day tasks involve monitoring classroom activities, maintaining regulatory compliance and licensing standards, managing budgets and resources, and coordinating communication through school tools and family engagement initiatives. The Preschool Director also leads enrollment efforts, supports community outreach, and continuously evaluates program quality and child outcomes.
- Strong foundation in Early Childhood Education and Education, with experience in preschool or Kindergarten settings.
- Proficiency in Curriculum Development for age-appropriate, inclusive, and play-based learning environments.
- Ability to manage Budgeting and resource allocation to support high-quality programs and operations.
- Experience supervising and coaching educators, with skills in team leadership, conflict resolution, and staff development.
- Knowledge of state childcare licensing regulations, health and safety standards, and best practices in child development.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for building partnerships with families and the community.
- Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education, Education, Child Development, or a related field; advanced credentials or director certification preferred.
- Prior experience in a preschool or childcare leadership role strongly beneficial.
