Order, receive, store, issue and research parts and equipment used in the maintenance and repair of fleet/leaseback aircraft. Ship and track parts sent out for repair. Assist in maintaining inventory records.

Responsibilities Include
  • Package and weigh items to be shipped and generate shipping labels
  • Receive, verify and stock parts for fleet and retail aircraft
  • Prepare receiving reports and deliver to Accounts Payable Department
  • Post all parts usage to computer
  • Issue repair orders for parts to outside repair facilities
  • Issue parts and kits to mechanics and assist mechanics with parts requirements
  • Assist in routine and special inventories
  • Perform and coordinate all activities and complete all work required/assigned by D.O.M., Shift Supervisor or supervising A&P Mechanics
  • Hanger maintenance
  • Admin assistance
  • Parts and material runner
  • Aircraft care
  • Shop equipment maintenance
Requirements Include
  • High School graduate or equivalent, or any combination of education and experience that enables one to perform the job functions
  • Ability to read parts catalogs and/or use web sites to research parts
  • Experience in serialized parts inventory procedures, preferred
  • Experience with shipping, receiving and order processing, preferred
  • Excellent customer relations, interpersonal and telephone skills
  • Knowledge of Inventory software and Microsoft Office products helpful
  • Knowledge of Federal Aviation Regulations as they relate to aircraft maintenance
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Excellent computer skills required
  • Strong attention to detail, reasoning skills and high degree of accuracy
  • Must be able to use ladders, work stands, jacks, etc.
  • Must be able to lift, carry, or move aircraft components weighing up to 50 lbs.
  • Physical requirements include stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, reaching, handling, fingering, and feeling
  • Work is performed in the parts room in the hangar with elevated noise levels
