Job Title:
Manufacturing Engineer
Under direct supervision, this role supports manufacturing with projects related to continuous improvement, focusing on quality, productivity, cost reductions, standardization, and safety. The position involves developing and maintaining assembly instructions, using Pro-Engineer and MS Visio, and implementing procedures and work instructions. You will interface with production operators, technicians, and engineers to establish product standards and methods for assembly, testing, inspection, and packaging.
Additionally, you will interpret technical documentation for product manufacturing, including schematics, engineering drawings, customer specifications, and military standards. Competency in the design and evaluation of tooling, fixturing, and gauging is required. 90% of the job will be on the production floor, assisting in rolling out two new 'hybrid' products.
- Support manufacturing projects focused on continuous improvement.
- Develop and maintain assembly instructions.
- Utilize Pro-Engineer and MS Visio for project implementation.
- Implement procedures and work instructions.
- Collaborate with production operators, technicians, and engineers to establish product standards.
- Interpret technical documentation, including schematics and engineering drawings.
- Design and evaluate tooling, fixturing, and gauging.
- Assist in rolling out new hybrid products on the production floor.
- Experience in manufacturing engineering and process improvement.
- Proficiency in Pro-Engineer and MS Visio.
- Ability to interpret technical documentation.
- AA degree or greater in a relevant field.
Skills & Qualifications
- Strong background in CAD, preferably Pro-Engineer or compatible software.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
- Educational concentration in mechanical, electrical, industrial, or manufacturing engineering.
- Must be a US citizen or permanent resident.
The role requires working closely with the manufacturing engineering team and supervisors on the production floor within a small team. The work environment is very clean and conducive to productivity.
Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Melbourne, FL.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $70000.00 - $85000.00/hr.
