- Proficiency in Finite Element Modeling (FEM/FEA) using tools such as NASTRAN or ANSYS.
- Strong knowledge of solid mechanics, fatigue, damage tolerance, often with experience in composite materials and CAD software.
- Comprehensive understanding of classical structural analysis techniques, including free‑body diagrams, statics, mechanics of materials, and structural dynamics.
- Attendance or presentation at internal program, customer and/or supplier technical exchange meetings, or formal program milestone reviews to provide and/or obtain progress status updates.
- Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced work environment with high expectations, diverse assignments, and collaborative/team settings across all levels.
- Self‑starter capable of operating with minimal direction.
- This role may be filled as a SR Principal Engineer (Level
4) or Staff Engineer (Level
5) based on the qualifications below.
- For Level 2:
Bachelor’s degree in a STEM discipline from an accredited university AND 8 years of experience in design and integration of equipment, OR Master’s degree in a STEM discipline from an accredited university AND 6 years of experience in design and integration of equipment. - Active In‑Scope DoD Secret clearance.
- Ability to obtain and maintain Active In‑Scope DoD Top Secret clearance.
- Supplier Management Team (SMT) experience.
- An active DoD Top Secret (or higher) clearance with a background investigation within the past 5 years or enrolled in Continuous Evaluation.
- Degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering.
- Experience with design, analysis, and integration of environmental control systems.
- Proficiency with software tools such as NX and/or CPLM.
- Experience interpreting component detail drawings, specifications, installation drawings, and test procedures.
- Experience writing/reviewing technical documents: SSOWs, SRDs, ICDs, SDRL reviews, etc.
- Experience leading, mentoring, and developing multidisciplinary engineering teams to deliver complex technical solutions within cost and schedule constraints across all phases of the engineering lifecycle.
Primary Level Salary Range: $ - $. The range is a general guideline; actual offers depend on scope, responsibilities, candidate experience, education, skills, and market conditions.
