Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems sector is looking for a Crew and Equipment Design Engineer/Principal Crew and Equipment Design Engineer with experience in Design and integration in the Aerospace industry to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This role is located in Melbourne, FL. This position is fully onsite with no remote work available.
This role may be filled as a Crew & Equipment Engineer (Level
2) or Principal Engineer (Level
3) based on the qualifications outlined below.
- Develop ICDs, layouts, and drawings of crew and equipment installations.
- NX modeling and equipment integration.
- Work with suppliers for integration activities.
- Selected candidates should thrive in a fast-paced work environment with high expectations, significantly diverse assignments, and collaborative/team settings across all levels.
- Candidates must be self-starters capable of flourishing in an environment with minimal direction.
- For Level 2:
Must have a Bachelor’s in a Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) discipline from an accredited university AND 2 years of experience in the design and integration of equipment OR a Master’s degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) discipline from an accredited university AND 0 years of experience in the design and integration of equipment. - For Level 3:
Must have a Bachelor’s in a Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) discipline from an accredited university AND 5 years of experience in the design and integration of equipment OR a Master’s degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) discipline from an accredited university AND 3 years of experience in the design and integration of equipment. - Active In-Scope DoD Secret clearance.
- Ability to obtain and maintain Active In-Scope DoD Top Secret clearance.
- Supplier Management Team (SMT) experience.
- An active DoD Top Secret or higher clearance (with a background investigation within the past 5 years or enrolled into Continuous Evaluation)
- Degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering.
- Experience with the design, analysis and integration of environmental control systems.
- Software tools experience with NX and or CPLM
- Experience interpreting component detail drawings, specifications, installation drawings, and test procedures.
- Experience writing/reviewing technical documents: SSOWs, SRDs, ICDs, SDRL reviews, etc.
- Experience in leading, mentoring, and developing multidisciplinary engineering teams to deliver complex technical solutions, within cost and schedule constraints, across the various phases of the engineering lifecycle.
Primary Level Salary Range: $79,300.00 - $
Secondary Level Salary Range: $98,400.00 - $
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate’s experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
