The Senior Principal Systems Modeling & Simulation Engineer will support the E-2D Hawkeye Program by designing readiness and cost improvement solutions for aircraft sustainment within a performance-based environment.
Responsibilities include:
- Cost analysis (development, production, operations & support, and business case).
- Readiness and reliability/maintainability improvement, spares forecasting, fleet readiness modeling.
- Obsolescence forecasting and level of repair analysis (LORA).
- Modeling and simulation analysis for spares.
- Interface with Air Vehicle, Avionics, Systems Engineering, R&M, Diminishing Material Shortages (DMS) team, Support Hardware, Global Supply Chain, supplier design engineers, and the U.S. Navy customer to understand requirements, collect data, and strategize solutions.
Candidate must possess skills in statistics, simulation modeling, trend & sensitivity analysis, data sampling, and computing. Experience with logistics/product support concepts, reliability/maintainability data, and LORA is required. Prior military experience is a plus. Travel may be required for customer/supplier interface.
Strong communication, writing, and multitasking abilities are essential. Proficiency with Microsoft tools and an interim secret clearance are required.
Basic Qualifications- Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field and at least 8 years of relevant military/professional experience, OR Master’s degree in a STEM field and at least 6 years, OR PhD and at least 4 years.
- Understanding of basic reliability/maintainability data and statistical analysis.
- Experience with LORA and spares modeling.
- Familiarity with other product support disciplines.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government secret clearance.
- Experience in sustainment modeling, aircraft obsolescence, BCA, LORA, and O&S cost estimating.
- Systems performance monitoring and analysis.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills, including project/analysis lead experience.
- Current active U.S. government secret clearance.
Primary Level Salary Range: $ - $. Salary determined by scope, responsibilities, experience, education, skills, and market conditions.
