Position Role Type: Onsite

This is an onsite position in Melbourne, Florida. The role involves both new product development and legacy product sustaining support activities within the aerospace and defense sector.

• Engage in all phases of system product development, including system requirements analysis, definition, allocation, validation, and system architecture design.
• Conduct system integration and requirements verification testing.
• Coordinate among systems, hardware, and software design functions to develop system-related documentation.
• Receive mentoring from senior engineers to develop skills as a system engineer and deepen knowledge in communication and satcom technologies.

• Typically requires a STEM degree and a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience, or an advanced degree and a minimum of 3 years of experience.
• Aerospace industry experience is required.
• Experience with Python, Perl, or other scripting tools.
• Familiarity with communication products such as HF/VHF radios and/or satcom systems.
• Proficiency in system‑level requirements decomposition/analysis, design, allocation to subsystems, system integration planning, execution, and system‑level verification and validation.
• Experience interfacing with system, subsystem, and product teams for allocation of system‑level requirements, decomposition into lower‑level requirements, design decisions, and resolution of problem reports.

• Strong teamwork skills working with domestic and international team members.
• Effective time management and ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Experience working across disciplines such as hardware and software.
• Working knowledge of avionics regulations and certification standards including TSO, DO‑160, DO‑254, and DO‑178B/C.
• Working knowledge of Guidelines for Development of Civil Aircraft and Systems (ARP‑4754).

The salary range for this role is 86,800 USD – 165,200 USD. Pay is determined based on role, function, associated responsibilities, candidate experience, location, education, and key skills.
