and Shift
The position will be located on-site in Melbourne, FL.
This position is for the 1st shift with a 9/80 work schedule.
Role and Responsibilities- Conduct stress analyses on mechanical systems such as mechanically and hydraulically driven doors and their associated locking mechanisms.
- Use various methods of static analysis including section checks, lug checks, joint strength and column stability.
- Apply durability analysis and internal load development of mechanisms including both free‑body and FEM methods.

- Bachelor's in Science, Technology, Engineering or Math (STEM) and at least 2 years of relevant experience, or a Master's Degree in STEM with no years of experience.
- Experience in structural analysis methods and documentation, including classical hand calculation and large finite element model manipulation.
- Experience in structural analysis of mechanical systems.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government security clearance. U.S. citizenship is a pre-requisite. Final approved clearance and Program Special Access may be required to start.

- Bachelor's in STEM and at least 5 years of relevant experience; or a Master's Degree in STEM with 3 years of relevant experience; or a PhD with no experience.
- Proficiency in structural analysis methods and documentation, including classical hand calculation and large finite element model manipulation.
- Proficiency in structural analysis of mechanical systems.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government security clearance. U.S. citizenship is a pre-requisite. Final approved clearance and Program Special Access may be required to start.
- Bachelor's, Master's or PhD Degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering.
- Demonstrated proficiency with mechanism structural analysis.
- Demonstrated proficiency with Unigraphics NX, CATIA V5 and/or similar CAD packages.
- Demonstrated proficiency with PATRAN, FEMAP, NASTRAN, Stress Check, Abaqus CAE and/or similar analysis packages.
- Experience working Special Access Programs.
- Top Secret U.S. Government Security Clearance.
Primary Level Salary Range: $79,300.00 - $
Secondary Level Salary Range: $98,400.00 - $

Northrop Grumman considers factors such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and market conditions when determining base salary offers.
Employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential and discretionary bonuses in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses reward individual contributions and company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for long‑term incentives.
