Surveyor And Mapper
Performs skilled technical and professional work assisting in the supervision and operation of all of the survey activities for the County Surveying and Mapping Program. Supervision is given to clerical, technical, and professional staff. May act as the County Surveyor, including signing and certifying surveys, reports, and other documents as the licensed Surveyor and Mapper and as authorized.
Salary: $3,005.92 to $3,306.51 biweekly. Actual salary negotiable based on experience and qualifications.
Location:
Government Center/Viera. Work schedule is Monday through Friday 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Surveying and Mapping, Geomatics, Geomatics Engineering, Land Surveying, or a closely related field PLUS three (3) years of progressively responsible post-licensing land surveying experience. Additional qualifying education and/or experience may be substituted on a year for year basis. Must possess, or obtain prior to employment, a valid Florida driver's license and maintain said license during the term of employment.
Must possess an active license as a State of Florida Professional Land Surveyor and Mapper, in accordance with the requirements of Florida Statute 472, and maintain said license during the term of employment. In the event of a hurricane, major storm, natural or man-made disaster that may threaten the area, the employee will be required to perform emergency duties as directed.
