Northrop Grumman’s Aeronautics Systems sector has an opening for a Principal or Senior Principal level RF Antenna COSITE Engineer to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals within our organization. This position will be located in Melbourne, FL
. In this role, you will contribute to the overall development and integration of RF Subsystems, including analyzing performance, developing and managing requirements and interfaces, and verifying/validating all allocated requirements.

• Support development and integration of communications and other RF subsystems and components to meet platform mission objectives
• Requirements development, analysis, maturation and implementation translating customer requirements into derived specifications
• Perform Computational Electromagnetic (CEM) antenna analysis for source/victim (co-site) analysis
• Conducting detailed trade studies
• Performing risk analysis and developing mitigation plans and tracking to closure
• Collaborate with engineers and program stakeholders
• Developing and maintaining supplier documentation, performance based specifications, and statements of work
• Technical management of program strategic partners and suppliers, including development, acquisition, acceptance, qualification, system integration and test support
• Review documents from the supplier’s development effort and support supplier technical interchange meetings and design reviews
• Identifying/planning/executing informal and formal testing of subsystem requirements in lab, troubleshooting hardware in the lab
• Performing aircraft ground and flight test on subsystems to validate and verify subsystem requirement and sell-off
• Support technical discussions with the customer and having daily interaction with management, external personnel, customers, and various sub teams

• Knowledge of electromagnetics in the RF spectrum (VHF through Ka bands)
• Ability to design, select and characterize RF components to meet mission objectives
• Knowledge of system engineering design methods, including requirements analysis and flow‑down, specification derivation and interface control documentation
• Ability to review documents from the supplier’s development effort and support supplier technical interchange meetings and design review
• Strong verbal and written communication skills and the ability to work well in a close team environment

At a Principal Level:

• Must have a Bachelors degree in a STEM field and at least 5 years of relevant military / professional experience, OR a Master’s Degree in a STEM field and at least 3 years of relevant military / professional experience, OR a PhD and at least 1 year of relevant military / professional / academic experience

• Must have a Bachelors degree in a STEM field and at least 8 years of relevant military / professional experience, OR a Master’s Degree in a STEM field and at least 6 years of relevant military / professional experience, OR a PhD and at least 4 years of relevant military / professional experience

• Must have an active US Government Secret or higher clearance (with a background investigation completed within the last 6 years or currently enrolled…
