Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems (NGAS) has an opening for a Principal Engineering Planning Analyst to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position will be located in Melbourne, Florida. This position will be supporting the Product Support organization and the Support Equipment Engineering department, leading technical operations related tasks and projects in support of the Engineering Management.

Essential Functions for Engineering Planning Analyst (but not limited to)
  • Prepares and coordinates the plans and schedules.
  • Determines, monitors, and reviews costs, operational budgets and schedules, and manpower requirements.
  • Analyzes effects of projects upon various areas such as Engineering, Facilities, and the labor pool to determine the most practical and cost-efficient methods to obtain the required resources.
  • Resolves proposal preparation problems and assesses the progress against established plans and parameters.
  • Formulates and recommends corrective action measures such as schedule revisions, manpower adjustments, fund allocations, and work requirements.

This position’s standard work schedule is a 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off.

Basic Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution and 5 years of relevant experience; OR Master’s Degree from an accredited institution and 3 years of relevant experience.
  • Experience must be within the Aerospace or Defense Industry, or within Project Management.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite / Microsoft 365
  • Experience with JIRA.
  • Experience with staffing, onboarding, or new hire experience.
  • Must have an active US Government Secret clearance (with a background investigation within the past 6 years or enrolled into Continuous Evaluation).
  • Must have the ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) clearance, within a reasonable amount of time as determined by business needs.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Experience in developing executive level presentations.
  • General understanding of Product Development, Test & Verification.
  • Experience with creating and executing to a project plan.

Primary Level Salary Range: $89,400.00 - $

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
