Sr. Principal Project Engineer - Computing Solutions; Onsite

Responsibilities

• You will serve as the engineering project leader for programs developing Avionics products.
• You will coordinate hardware, software, systems and firmware scope to meet program commitments.
• You will serve as engineering project leader supplying project management and technical direction during all program phases including pursuits, bidding, planning, execution and sustainment.
• You will ensure compliance with Collins Aerospace technical engineering processes.
• You will lead a cross functional engineering development team.
• You will be accountable to keep the teams on target for schedule commitments while balancing the budget.

• You will learn the technologies of today and tomorrow which we count on to maintain world leadership in the avionics industry.
• You will learn all phases of product life cycle from requirements through to verification, while employing the company engineering processes to produce high quality products.
• You will learn the requirements for product certification required by federal agencies.
• You will learn how to establish and maintain a computing module platform product line with a broad base of customers.

• Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and minimum 10 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field.
• Demonstrated ability to lead large development teams.
• Experience managing technical projects including schedule and earned value management.
• Proven record of meeting goals and commitments.
• Possess a collaborative way of working.
• Strong communicator and influencer skills, able to work with cross functional teams with several skillsets and interdependencies between functional groups.

• Experience with Avionics regulatory and certification requirements: TSO, MIL-STD, DO-160, DO-254, DO-178B/C, DO-297, ARP-4754A.

The salary range for this role is 132,400 USD - 251,600 USD.
