Principal Electronics Weapons Integration Engineer – Melbourne, FL (on‑site only, no hybrid or remote).
Responsibilities- Operate effectively on a team of engineers.
- Have general understanding of Military Standards, Suspension and Release Equipment (S&RE), and MIL‑STD‑1760 Stores Management Systems (SMS).
- Evaluate electromechanical systems, products, components, and applications by designing and testing products.
- Perform requirements management, system integration, test plan development, and test execution of a weapon system throughout the entire development, demonstration, and production phases.
- Understand all system requirements, develop statements of work, specifications and interface control documents, prepare, monitor and update program schedules.
- Conduct and participate in all related design reviews and provide technical guidance to the cross‑functional team.
- Bachelor’s Degree in a STEM discipline and 5 years of related engineering experience; OR Master’s degree in a STEM discipline and 3 years of related engineering experience; OR PhD in a STEM discipline and 1 year of related engineering experience.
- Experience with manned or unmanned aircraft, weapon system design, or requirements verification and/or certification.
- Experience working with weapons engineers.
- Must have an active US Government Secret Clearance (with a background investigation within the past 6 years or enrolled into Continuous Evaluation).
- Must have the ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) clearance, within a reasonable amount of time as determined by business needs.
- Master of Science (MS) in a relevant STEM discipline and 3 years of experience.
- Experience leading high performing teams.
- Experience with software data analysis.
- Familiarity with MIL‑STD‑1553 and MIL‑STD‑1760.
- Experience interacting with external stakeholders (customers, suppliers, etc.).
- DoD Top Secret / SCI Clearance.
