Modeling & Simulation Systems Engineer

Position Overview

Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems is hiring a Modeling & Simulation Engineer in its Product Support group located in Melbourne, FL.

• Support a range of analyses including cost analysis (Development and Operations & Support), readiness (Reliability & Maintainability improvement), spares forecasting, fleet readiness modeling, obsolescence forecasting, Level of Repair Analysis (LORA) and spares modeling.
• Interface with functional departments such as Air Vehicle, Avionics, Systems Engineering, R&M, Diminishing Material Shortages team, Support Hardware, and supplier design engineers to collect data and develop solutions.
• Communicate findings and recommendations clearly through written and verbal channels.
• Utilize Microsoft Office tools for analysis, documentation, and reporting.

• Bachelor’s Degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics discipline from an accredited university and 2 years of engineering experience, OR Master’s Degree in STEM and 0 years of engineering experience.
• Experience performing basic statistical analyses.
• Familiarity with other Product Support disciplines.
• Active U.S. Government Secret clearance or higher, maintained within the past 6 years, or enrolled in Continuous Evaluation.
• Ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) clearance within a reasonable period, as required.

• Experience in Sustainment Modeling, LORA and O&S Cost estimating.
• Systems performance monitoring and analysis.
• Python programming experience.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Active, in‑scope DoD Top Secret or SCI clearance.

• Primary level salary range: $79,300.00 - $.
• Eligible for overtime, shift differential, and discretionary bonuses in addition to base pay.
