Position: Engineer Mechanical – Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems

Location: Melbourne, FL

• Review, track, and modify test station design documents as necessary.
• Generate and track Bill of Materials (BOMs), schedule, and execution of test station development.
• Coordinate with a multi‑discipline team (supply chain, operations, QA, etc.) to ensure a quality product is built and remains on schedule and within budget.
• Develop and perform Acceptance Test Procedures for test stations.
• Develop, integrate and document laboratory systems.

• Must have a Bachelor of Science degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering, or Math (STEM) discipline AND 2 years of related professional/military experience OR a Master of Science degree in a STEM discipline AND 0 years of related professional/military experience, OR a STEM Ph.D. AND 0 years of related professional/military experience.
• Must have an active U.S. Government Secret (or higher) clearance (with a background investigation within the past 6 years or enrolled into Continuous Evaluation).
• Must have the ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) clearance within a reasonable amount of time as determined by the company.
• Must have knowledge of NX Design tool or other mechanical design tools.
• Must have understanding of test engineering concepts.

• MS in Mechanical/Systems/STEM Engineering.
• Active U.S. Government Secret Clearance (or higher).
• Experience with test equipment, such as oscilloscope, spectrum analyzer, power supplies, etc.
• Experience with test station design and development.
• Experience creating and maintaining BOMs (Bill of Materials).
• Experience developing and executing ATPs (Acceptance Test Procedures).
• Experience as Mechanical Designer.
• Manufacturing/liaison support experience desired to support build and installation of assemblies as well as testing of aircraft systems.

Primary Level Salary Range: $72,100.00 - $

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate’s experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, company‑paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
