Systems Engineer, Electronics Engineer
Collins Aerospace is seeking an Electrical Engineer II with passion for analog, digital, and RF circuit design to support and develop CNS transceiver products in demanding aerospace environments.
Responsibilities- Provide design and engineering support for CNS sustainment and new product development
- Collaborate across interdisciplinary teams to deliver integrated solutions
- Manage component obsolescence identification and mitigation
- Troubleshoot hardware and process issues down to circuit card assembly
- Support transition‑to‑production activities and provide technical support for production teams
- Perform schematic capture and design documentation
- Investigate failure trends for root cause and implement corrective actions
- Present technical information clearly and effectively
- Manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
- Must Have:
- Degree in STEM and minimum 2 years of relevant experience or an advanced degree in a related field
- Proficiency in electrical engineering fundamentals, including troubleshooting, analysis, and test
- Hands‑on experience with oscilloscopes, DMMs, network analyzers, and power meters
- Experience with schematic capture tools and ability to interpret complex schematics
- Proven ability to lead or influence technical efforts within a multidisciplinary team
- Demonstrated success in collaborative team environments
- U.S. Person (citizen, lawful permanent resident, or eligible for ITAR/EAR access)
- Proficiency in SPICE simulation tools (LTSPICE, PSPICE, TINA, etc.)
- Knowledge of avionics product lines (DME, VOR/LOC, ILS, Marker Beacon, GNSS, ADF, Radar Altimeter)
- Experience with Mentor Graphics Xpedition or similar ECAD
- General knowledge of FAA Technical Standard Order process
- Experience with RTCA/DO-160 or MIL-STD-461 test procedures
- Background in microwave/RF systems, subsystems, or component‑level design and test
- Proficiency with electromagnetic simulation tools (HFSS, ADS, Microwave Office, MATLAB)
- Experience translating system‑level requirements into hardware specifications, design artifacts, and test plans
- Strong problem‑solving skills
- Experience developing technical proposals and delivering formal presentations

Salary range: $68,900 - $131,100 USD. This role is U.S.
