Electrical Engineer II - Communication, Navigation & Surveillance; ONSITE

Collins Aerospace is seeking an Electrical Engineer II with passion for analog, digital, and RF circuit design to support and develop CNS transceiver products in demanding aerospace environments.

• Provide design and engineering support for CNS sustainment and new product development
• Collaborate across interdisciplinary teams to deliver integrated solutions
• Manage component obsolescence identification and mitigation
• Troubleshoot hardware and process issues down to circuit card assembly
• Support transition‑to‑production activities and provide technical support for production teams
• Perform schematic capture and design documentation
• Investigate failure trends for root cause and implement corrective actions
• Present technical information clearly and effectively
• Manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines

• Must Have:
• Degree in STEM and minimum 2 years of relevant experience or an advanced degree in a related field
• Proficiency in electrical engineering fundamentals, including troubleshooting, analysis, and test
• Hands‑on experience with oscilloscopes, DMMs, network analyzers, and power meters
• Experience with schematic capture tools and ability to interpret complex schematics
• Proven ability to lead or influence technical efforts within a multidisciplinary team
• Demonstrated success in collaborative team environments
• U.S. Person (citizen, lawful permanent resident, or eligible for ITAR/EAR access)

• Proficiency in SPICE simulation tools (LTSPICE, PSPICE, TINA, etc.)
• Knowledge of avionics product lines (DME, VOR/LOC, ILS, Marker Beacon, GNSS, ADF, Radar Altimeter)
• Experience with Mentor Graphics Xpedition or similar ECAD
• General knowledge of FAA Technical Standard Order process
• Experience with RTCA/DO-160 or MIL-STD-461 test procedures
• Background in microwave/RF systems, subsystems, or component‑level design and test
• Proficiency with electromagnetic simulation tools (HFSS, ADS, Microwave Office, MATLAB)
• Experience translating system‑level requirements into hardware specifications, design artifacts, and test plans
• Strong problem‑solving skills
• Experience developing technical proposals and delivering formal presentations

Salary range: $68,900 - $131,100 USD. This role is U.S.
