Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems is hiring a Systems Engineer / Principal Systems Engineer located in Melbourne, FL.

In this role, the successful candidate will perform technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, cost and risk, and supportability and effectiveness analyses for total systems. Analyses are performed at all levels of total system product to include concept, design, fabrication, test, installation, operation, maintenance and disposal. The engineer will ensure the logical and systematic conversion of customer or product requirements into total systems solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule, and cost constraints, and will also perform functional analysis, timeline analysis, detail trade studies, requirements allocation and interface definition studies to translate customer requirements into hardware and software specifications.

• Systems Engineer:
  Bachelor of Science in a STEM discipline and 2 years of related professional/military experience, or Master of Science in a STEM discipline and 0 years of related experience.
• Principal Systems Engineer:
  Bachelor of Science in a STEM discipline and 5 years of related experience, or Master of Science and 3 years, or PhD and 1 year.
• Must transfer and maintain a final adjudicated Secret clearance (or be enrolled in Continuous Evaluation) and any required program access within a reasonable period.

• Experience with Agile workflows.
• Knowledge of configuration management of model‑based architecture baselines.
• Demonstrated communication and technical writing skills.
• Proven ability to brief technical presentations to internal and external stakeholders.
• Foundation in Model Based Systems Engineering and Architecture Development.
• Ability to communicate effectively and present technical approaches and findings at reviews and boards.
• Ability to apply extensive technical expertise to develop solutions to complex problems requiring ingenuity and creativity.

Primary Level Salary Range: $79,300 – $118,900. Secondary Level Salary Range: $98,400 – $147,600. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, discretionary bonus, and long‑term incentives for VP/Director roles. Benefits include health, life and disability insurance, savings plan, paid holidays, and paid time off.
