Traffic Operations Engineer
Job DescriptionBrevard County is an EEO and Veteran's Preference employer. Full Time. Open Until Filled. $3,637.87 to $4,001.66 biweekly. Actual salary negotiable based on experience and qualifications. South Area/Melbourne/Travels Countywide. Work schedule is Monday through Friday 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Performs skilled professional engineering work coordinating, planning, designing, reviewing, inspecting and/or implementing assigned projects for the Traffic Operations Program. May supervise subordinate staff.
RequirementsBachelor's degree in Civil Engineering PLUS five (5) years of experience in transportation engineering; OR Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering PLUS four (4) years of experience as a Brevard County Engineer I in traffic operations, planning and development, or a closely related field. Supervisory experience is preferred. Professional Engineer (PE) registration in the State of Florida, in accordance with Florida Statute 471, is preferred.
Must possess, or obtain prior to employment, a valid Florida driver's license and maintain said license during the term of employment. In the event of a hurricane, major storm, natural or man-made disaster that may threaten the area, the employee will be required to perform emergency duties as directed.
