TLC Engineering Solutions seeks a Structural Engineer to join our Engineering & Design team, supporting sustainable healthcare, education, and commercial projects. You will analyze, design, and detail structural systems, coordinate with architects and MEP teams, and ensure code compliance and constructability. The role includes preparing calculations, drawings, and specifications while leveraging BIM tools. At TLC, you'll work in a collaborative, innovation-driven culture with opportunities for professional growth, mentorship, and involvement in high-performance building design initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Perform structural analysis and design of building systems in steel, concrete, masonry, and wood
- Prepare structural calculations, drawings, details, and technical specifications
- Collaborate closely with architects, MEP engineers, and other stakeholders to integrate structural solutions
- Ensure compliance with applicable building codes and standards (IBC, ASCE 7, ACI, AISC)
- Review shop drawings, RFIs, and submittals; provide construction-phase support
- Use BIM and structural design software to develop coordinated models and documents
- Participate in sustainability-focused design, supporting resilient and efficient building solutions
- Contribute to quality control, peer reviews, and continuous improvement of design standards
Required Skills
- Structural analysis and design

- Masonry and wood design
- Finite element analysis (FEA) tools (e.g., ETABS, SAP
2000, RAM, STAAD) - BIM/Revit for structural modeling and coordination
- Auto
- CAD or similar drafting software
- Knowledge of IBC, ASCE 7, ACI, and AISC codes
- Foundation and lateral system design (wind and seismic)
- Technical report writing and calculation documentation
