Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems has an opening for a Staff Systems Engineer to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals within our Systems Engineering organization. This role is located in Melbourne, FL. We are seeking a Systems Integration Engineer to provide technical guidance across multiple Integrated Product Teams (IPTs). This role is responsible for ensuring horizontal and vertical integration of requirements and design, establishing and refining systems engineering processes, leading Systems Engineering Technical Review (SETR) events, and managing key technical metrics and allocations.
Key Responsibilities- Coordinate with multidiscipline IPTs to ensure horizontal and vertical integration of system requirements, architecture, and design.
- Refine, document, and implement systems engineering processes across the program.
- Host and coordinate SETR events (e.g., SRR, SFR, PDR, CDR, TRR), including planning, execution, and action closure.
- Define, track, and analyze Technical Performance Measures (TPMs) and drive corrective actions as needed.
- Manage requirements allocations from system to subsystem/component level, ensuring traceability and consistency.
- Perform architecture reviews, assessing completeness, feasibility, and interface consistency; recommend design updates and trades.
- Bachelor of science degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering, or Math (STEM) discipline with 12 years of related experience OR Master of Science degree in a STEM discipline with 10 years of related experience or a PhD in a STEM discipline and 8 years of related experience
- Your ability to transfer and maintain the final adjudicated U.S. government Secret clearance (must be in-scope or enrolled in Continuous Evaluation) and any program access(es) required for the position within a reasonable period of time, as determined by the Company.
- Experience in systems integration, including leading multi-disciplinary efforts and institutionalizing systems engineering processes.
