Job Requirements and Duties- Operate all equipment.
- Stock ingredients from delivery area to storage, work area, and walk-in cooler.
- Prepare product.
- Receive and process telephone orders.
- Take inventory and complete associated paperwork.
- Clean equipment and facility approximately daily.
Orientation and training are provided on the job.
Communication Skills- Comprehend and give correct written instructions.
- Communicate verbally with customers and co‑workers to process orders over the phone and in person.
- Perform basic math (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division) accurately and quickly (calculator may be used).
- Make correct monetary change.
- Use verbal, written, and telephone skills to take and process orders.
- Coordinate work between eyes and hands/fingers to make rapid, accurate movements with speed.
- Enter orders using a computer keyboard or touch screen.
- Standing:
Most tasks are performed from a standing position. - Walking:
For short distances and durations. Surfaces include ceramic tile, bricks, and linoleum in some food process areas. Work surface height ranges from 36 to 48 inches. - Sitting:
Paperwork is normally completed at a desk or table. - Lifting:
Bulk product deliveries are unloaded by hand truck. Deliveries may include cases of ingredients and supplies weighing up to 50 pounds. Cases are usually stacked up to 72 high. - Carrying:
Carry large cans (3 lbs 7 oz) from workstation to storage shelves. Occasionally carry pizza sauce weighing 30 pounds from storage to front of store. Trays of pizza dough are carried three at a time, weighing approximately 12 pounds per tray. - Pushing:
Move trays on dollies; a stack of trays on a dolly requires up to 7.5 pounds of force. Trays may also be pulled. - Climbing:
Infrequently navigate stairs or climb a ladder to change prices on signs, wash walls, or perform maintenance.
- Exposure to varying and sometimes adverse weather conditions when performing outside tasks.
- In‑store temperatures range from 36°F in cooler to 90°F or higher in some work areas.
- Sudden changes in temperature while inside or outside.
- Fumes from food odors and exposure to cornmeal dust.
- Cramped quarters, including walk‑in cooler.
- Hot surfaces/tools up to 500°F or higher.
- Sharp edges and moving mechanical parts.
- Talking and hearing on the telephone.
- Near and mid-range vision for most in‑store tasks.
- Depth perception.
- Ability to differentiate between hot and cold surfaces.
- Direct activities, perform repetitive tasks, work alone and with others, work under stress, meet quality control standards, deal with people, analyze and compile data, make judgments and decisions.
