Overview
Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems (NGAS) is seeking a Principal Program Cost and Schedule Control Analyst (Level
3) or Sr. Principal Program Cost and Schedule Control Analyst (Level
4) in the Melbourne, FL facility to support the Cost Management organization. This position is onsite daily and requires a U.S. citizen with a DoD Secret clearance.

This Program Control Analyst will interface with program managers, functional managers, and cost account managers (CAMs) to provide financial and administrative support and analysis. Key duties include:
- Support the development of budget baselines and maintain cost/schedule integration.
- Prepare budgets, schedules, and ETC/EAC.
- Assist in financial performance analyses and visibility reporting.
- Support the preparation and submission of monthly CDRLs such as IPMR.
- Support variance analysis reports and facilitate program monthly rhythm process.
- Incorporate baseline changes into the EVM system using Microframe Project Manager (MPM), SAP, Business Warehouse (BW), wInsight, MS Excel/Project/PowerPoint.
Earned Value Management (EVM) tasks include:
- Establishing the Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) for execution of budgeted cost of work scheduled.
- Assessing and maintaining objective performance criteria.
- Justifying estimates to complete and supporting internal and external variance analysis reporting.
- Conducting cost risk analysis and preparing government cost performance reports.
Attributes of a strong candidate:
- Ability to use financial systems and learn EVMS principles with hands‑on cost performance reporting and analysis skills.
- Develop and implement solutions of moderate scope and complexity.
- Analyze variances and trends, creating new methods and process techniques.
- Work independently under general supervision, managing multiple assignments and escalating issues to ensure proper management focus.
- Exert influence on peers and internal customers; exhibit strong interpersonal skills representing the group on special projects.
- Bachelor's degree with at least 5 years experience in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, or a related field, or Master's degree with at least 3 years experience in Business Management, Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
- Must be able to work on site daily in Melbourne, FL.
- Experience in Government Contracting with Earned Value Management (EVM).
- Financial forecasting experience with EVMS or government cost reporting.
- Active DoD Secret clearance or higher.
- Ability to obtain and maintain Program Access within a reasonable period.
- Bachelor's degree with at least 8 years experience in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, or a related field, or Master's degree with at least 6 years experience in Business Management, Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
- Must be able to work on site daily in Melbourne, FL.
- Experience in Government Contracting with Earned Value Management (EVM).
- Financial forecasting experience with EVMS or government cost reporting.
- Active DoD Secret clearance or higher.
- Ability to obtain and maintain Program Access within a reasonable period.
- Understanding of Business Systems such as SAP/Cobra.
- Experience in Government Contracting with Earned Value Management (EVM).

Salary ranges are general guidelines and may be adjusted based on scope, responsibilities, candidate experience, education, skills, and market conditions. Opportunities for overtime, shift differential, discretionary bonuses, and long‑term incentives may also be applicable.
