Corporate Accountant

Job Description

A company in the Melbourne area is looking for a Corporate Accountant III to support a growing finance team in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. This role is responsible for performing complex accounting functions, supporting financial reporting, and providing analysis to drive business decisions.

• Perform month-end close activities, including preparing and reviewing journal entries in compliance with GAAP
• Conduct variance analysis by comparing actual results to forecasts and budgets
• Support forecasting, budgeting, and long-range planning (including 3-year plans)
• Maintain and reconcile balance sheet accounts
• Provide audit support for internal and external audits, including financial and compliance audits
• Analyze intercompany transactions and ensure proper accounting
• Review expense reports, invoices, and payment requests for accuracy and proper coding
• Assist in preparation of annual financial reporting packages and supporting schedules
• Partner with cross-functional teams and leadership to deliver financial insights
• Contribute to process improvements and documentation of accounting procedures
