Position: Manager, Capital Planning Lead (Onsite)

Capital Planning Lead – Avionics Manufacturing (Melbourne, FL)

We are seeking a Capital Planning Lead to manage and optimize capital investments at our Avionics Manufacturing site. The role supports the company’s business objectives, prepares capital budgets, evaluates projects, manages risk, and collaborates with cross‑functional teams.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and manage the annual capital budget for the site.
  • Conduct feasibility studies, cost‑benefit analyses, and risk assessments for proposed capital projects.
  • Allocate resources across projects and departments.
  • Track project performance, monitor spending versus budget, and provide financial analysis.
  • Ensure compliance with financial regulations and reporting requirements.
  • Identify and mitigate risks with project managers and stakeholders.
  • Negotiate favorable terms with vendors and suppliers.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives in capital planning processes.
Qualifications – Must Have
  • University degree and minimum 8 years of relevant experience, or advanced degree and minimum 5 years experience.
  • For engineering/technical positions: 5+ years in capital planning, budgeting, and financial analysis in a manufacturing environment.
  • Proficiency in SAP and advanced Microsoft Excel (index/match, VLOOKUP, pivot tables, SUMIF, COUNTIF, CONCATENATE).
  • Experience in financial analysis and project evaluation.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, business, or manufacturing. MBA or professional certification is a plus.
  • PMP certification and experience with project management principles.
  • Analytical and problem‑solving skills, risk mitigation, and ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Aerospace or avionics manufacturing experience.
  • Programming experience in Python or R.
  • Data visualization skills using Tableau or PowerBI.
  • Effective communication and collaboration with cross‑functional teams.
Benefits

Competitive salary range: $107,500 – $204,500 USD. Benefits include medical, dental, vision insurance, 401(k) with employer match, paid time off, tuition reimbursement, and additional wellness and insurance options. Relocation may be available.
