Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems is hiring a Principal Program Cost Schedule & Control Analyst (Level 3 or Level
4) to provide financial and administrative support for program cost and schedule management. The role is an individual contributor located onsite in Melbourne, FL, or Palmdale, CA.
- Interface with program managers, functional management, and cost account managers (CAMs) to deliver financial analysis and support.
- Apply Earned Value Management (EVM) concepts to multiple contracts and control accounts within an Integrated Product Team (IPT).
- Lead and train analysts for Level 1 EVM contracts when required.
- Establish work breakdown structure for budgeted cost of work scheduled.
- Develop, maintain, and analyze objective performance criteria and justification of estimates.
- Support internal and external variance analysis and budgeting baseline reporting.
- Maintain accurate cost and schedule integration with business partners and program teams.
- Analyze funding, cost risk, and visibility reports; prepare government cost performance and performance measurement variance reports.
- Analyze and prepare reports to ensure contracts comply with negotiated parameters and government cost control guidelines.
- Support monthly and quarterly financial forecasting and reporting processes.
- Provide internal reporting requirements including forecast incorporation, staffing issue identification, and execution of corrective actions using program reporting tools.
- Interface with Business Managers to support booking rate files and profitability updates.
- Demonstrate good leadership and ability to work with the Program Office and lead a small team.
Ability to use financial systems and understand DoD financial rhythms; provide strategic guidance; develop and implement moderate‑scope solutions; analyze variances and trends; work under general supervision; influence peers and internal customers; possess strong interpersonal skills.
Basic Qualifications for Level 3- Bachelor's degree with 5 years of relevant experience or Master's degree with 3 years of relevant experience.
- Active DoD Secret clearance or higher.
- Ability to obtain and maintain Program Access within a reasonable period.
- Experience with EVM, Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint), monthly financial forecasting rhythm, EAC development and analysis, MPM and/or Cobra.
- Bachelor's degree with 8 years of relevant experience or Master's degree with 6 years of relevant experience.
- Active DoD Secret clearance or higher.
- Ability to obtain and maintain Program Access within a reasonable period.
- Experience with EVM, Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint), monthly financial forecasting rhythm, EAC development and analysis, MPM and/or Cobra.
- Experience developing CDRLs (IPMR, IPMDAR, CPR, CFSR, CSDR).

Salary offers are based on location, experience, and market conditions. Overtime, shift differential, discretionary bonuses, and long‑term incentives may be available for eligible positions.
