Position Summary
Administrative Services Officer II (EM-3) serves the Corporation Counsel as an administrative aide with responsibility for providing a variety of administrative and management services. The examination is being given on an inter‑departmental basis to establish an eligible list that shall be effective for no more than one year unless extended by the Director of Human Resources. Applicants for this examination must be regular employees of the City and County of Honolulu who have successfully completed the initial probationary period by the last day to apply.

- Promotion rate is determined by collective bargaining agreements or Civil Service rules, as applicable. There is one vacancy with the Department of Corporation Counsel, Administration Division. This list may be used for future vacancies in this and/or other departments.
- Education:
Equivalent to graduation from an accredited college or university with major work in business or public administration or a related field. Work experience may be substituted for a bachelor's degree on a year‑for‑year basis. Such experience must have provided the knowledge, skills, and analytical ability normally gained from attainment of a bachelor's degree. Verification is required within 7 days of filing the application. - Experience:
Four years of professional administrative work experience in personnel management, budget analysis, or organization and management, two of which shall have been in a government agency.
Education and experience evaluation will be used to determine the applicant’s score, based on quality, quantity, and/or recency of education and experience. The evaluation accounts for 100% of the total score.
