graduation from high school (or equivalent) and four (4) years of full-time experience in reviewing appraisal plans and verifying data.
customer service divisiongraduation from high school (or equivalent) and four (4) years of progressively responsible full-time administrative/clerical support experience, which includes customer service in the assessor's office.
parcel data divisiongraduation from high school (or equivalent) and four (4) years of progressively responsible full-time administrative/clerical support experience, which includes working with title and legal documents used for transferring property ownership and verifying data.
examples of duties- assign and coordinate work assignments.
- audit incoming and outgoing data for accuracy, completeness and quality.
- receive plans and other documents for review; ensure they are complete and contain required information for submittal and review.
- reviews, measures and verifies scale drawings, calculations and all related information pertaining to commercial, residential and land appraisals.
- transfer all data into appraisal valuation program to generate real property values for tax billing and to maintain accurate descriptions of all improved and unimproved parcels in clark county.
- determine if value adjustments to current and/or closed tax rolls are needed.
- review legal documents involving parcel cuts and combinations, transferring data and values to appropriate parcels.
- inspect, classify and code building permits from all entities in clark county for correct entry into automated permit scheduling system.
- review subdivision lists and maps received from other entities to determine accurate location addresses.
- verify land use codes and maintain conformity of data.
- analyze taxpayer inquiries, researching and interpreting codes, policies and procedures to provide factual information.
- use computer to enter data, develop and manage databases and/or spreadsheet files and report formats.
- research and assemble information from a variety of sources for the completion of processes or the preparation of reports regarding the appraisal process.
- contribute to the efficiency and effectiveness of the unit's service to its customers by offering suggestions and directing or participating as an active member of a work team.
- use standard office equipment, including a computer, in the course of the work.
- train new technicians.
