Viera Health and Rehab is looking for a full or part-time cook to join our exceptional Dietary Team.

Our cooks prepare the meals for 114 residents and guests daily. They cook proteins, starches and vegetables using a variety of cooking techniques. They make sauces and create soups from scratch daily, bake desserts for the following day and mix up salads for sandwiches. They keep a clean workstation, understand proper sanitation and keep temperature logs up to date. They wash their own dishes.

They understand and utilize FIFO and correct dating procedures. They are willing to learn textured diets and special modifications for therapeutic diets. They desire to provide attractive, quality meals for our residents and serve them on time.

• high school diploma or GED.
• Serv-Safe Certified
• have experience in healthcare food service.
• able to communicate effectively in English.
• have great customer service.
• have attention to detail.
• are able to work with minimal supervision, take initiative and make independent decisions.
• are confident to lead the shift in the absence of the manager.
