Manager Of Interventional Radiology And Nuclear Medicine Tertiary

The Manager of Interventional Radiology and Nuclear Medicine Tertiary provides leadership for operational activities of assigned sections/modalities, locations and support areas. The Manager of Radiology Tertiary oversees and manages all operations including the delivery of care, equipment oversight, financial management, and performance improvement activities. The Manager of Radiology Tertiary follows all Federal, State and Regional healthcare regulations and adheres to The Joint Commission (TJC)/ACR standards.

Primary Accountabilities

  • Provides oversight for of the day-to-day operations of the Holmes Regional Medical Center (HRMC) Radiology Department to include Interventional Radiology procedures.
  • Works in partnership with other departments to continually improve services and support of the Radiology management team and collaborates with other service lines across the Integrated Delivery Network (IDN) to provide exceptional quality care to our customers.
  • Maintains a safe environment for customers, patients, and Associates, ensures all imaging is consistent with quality standards and follows all Federal, State and Regional healthcare regulations and adheres to Joint Commission/ACR standards.
  • Retains flexibility, adapts to changes in workflow processes and the needs of the Health First organization based upon fluctuations in patient volume.
  • Communicates effectively with customers (patients, Licensed Practitioners, other Associates, the public, etc.) always using excellent customer relation strategies.
  • Participates in planning efforts involving space, equipment, staff, systems, services, supplies, budgeting and financial management and future programs and services.
  • Manage all patients, and equipment issues as they arise while immediately addressing situations while ensuring departmental standards are maintained
  • Interacts with Technologists, Nurses, clerical support staff, Radiologists, and other stakeholders throughout IDN to address and resolve the different issues that potentially impact the provision of services.
  • Leadership Accountabilities

  • Work Experience

    Minimum Qualifications

    • Education:

      Any one of the following:
    • Completion of Joint Review Committee accredited Radiologic Technology (JRCRT) program or school OR
    • Completion of Joint Review Committee accredited Nuclear Medicine Technology (JRCNMT) program or school OR
    • Completion of Joint Review Committee accredited Diagnostic Medical Sonography (JRCDMS) program or school.
    • Work Experience:

      Five (5) years' experience in Nuclear Medicine Technology, with three (3) of those years in leadership in an acute care setting.
    • Licensure:
      General Radiographer licensure in the State of Florida.
    • Certification:
  • Any one of the following:
  • American Registry of Radiologic Technology – ARRT (R) OR
  • American Registry of Radiologic Technology in Nuclear Medicine Technology – ARRT (N) or Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB) OR
  • American Registry of Radiologic Technology in Sonography – ARRT (S) OR
  • American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS).
