Access and Affordability Specialist Job Summary
Piper Companies is seeking an Access and Affordability Specialist to support a patient support and healthcare services organization.
onsite in Melbourne, FL.
- Conduct outbound calls to patients to verify insurance coverage and eligibility.
- Assist patients with enrollment and renewal processes for patient assistance programs.
- Review insurance benefits and identify available financial assistance resources.
- Maintain accurate patient records and case documentation within Salesforce.
- Support patients receiving life-sustaining therapies through reimbursement and access processes.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure timely resolution of patient access issues.
- Deliver exceptional customer service while maintaining compliance with program requirements.
- High School Diploma required; associate or bachelor's degree preferred.
- Experience using Salesforce CRM and Microsoft Office applications.
- Strong data entry, documentation, and organizational skills.
- Previous experience in pharmacy, insurance, call center, or healthcare support roles.
- Knowledge of insurance verification, benefits investigation, and patient assistance programs.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple patient cases simultaneously.
Salary Range: $25-$30/hr, based on experience
