AVP, Human Resources Salary Range:
- $131,250 - $178,290

Duties & Responsibilities:
- Assists SVP, HR in development of HR strategy and goals in support of business objectives that are in line with SCCU's Vision, Mission, and Brand Promise and that support the head of HR and C-Suite vision.
- Lead, HR department Leaders and HR team in the operational and tactical HR function. Resolves conflicts to promote teamwork. Responsible for recruitment, coaching, performance, and employee development of the HR team and serves as a HR business partner to enterprise VP's, AVP's, and Managers.
- Ensures that human resource-related decisions are compatible with SCCU's policies, practices, and Leader's direction.
- Recommended and administer Team Member policies, adhering to applicable federal, state, and local laws.
- Assists in driving all HR-related policies, procedures, and practices such as hiring, promotion, layoff, disciplinary action, and leave management by coordinating with all involved leaders to ensure compliance with SCCU guidelines.
- Develops staffing strategies, with Manager, Recruiting, and programs focused on effective, timely and efficient recruiting of qualified talent within and outside the Credit Union. Identifies and addresses strategic recruiting needs, analyzes turnover and makes recommendations to Leader to reduce and manage retention. Directs all external and internal staffing, recruitment, and selection activities in order to meet organizational requirements, internal customer needs, while complying with applicable laws.
- Directs and administers performance management plans and systems that help align the workforce with the strategic goals of SCCU including preparation and maintenance of job descriptions and development and delivery of performance appraisals to ensure accountability, equity, retention, and recognition of good performers and clear performance development plans in areas needing improvement.
- Helps oversee compensation programs and pay practices, including the job evaluation process, development and maintenance of competitive salary ranges and merit programs, and the development of special compensation programs and/or incentive plans.
- Oversees benefit administration with Manager, Benefits, including medical, dental, vision, 401k, Short and Long Term Disability, Worker's Compensation, and other Team Member benefits.
- Provides guidance and counsel to Leaders in addressing concerns, complaints, and Team Member relations situations. May serve as the primary investigator on formal complaints regarding harassment or discrimination.
- Advises and assists VP's, AVPs and Managers through progressive discipline process and employment termination decisions. Conducts investigations when employee complaints/concerns are brought forth.
