Overview

Akkodis is seeking an Engineer for a Contract with a client in Melbourne, FL/Bellevue, WA. Candidate must have strong hands-on experience integrating EMS/SCADA applications with ESB and field devices to support end-to-end system interoperability.

Rate Range: $56/hour to $71/hour;
The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

• Configure and integrate EMS/SCADA applications with field devices, telemetry/RTUs, front-end processors, ESB/IBUS, and adjacent enterprise systems.
• Perform data modelling, interface configuration, and mapping for measurements, controls, alarms, events, and network topology.
• Develop and maintain integration code and scripts using C/C++, Java, KSH/Python/Power Shell, and PL/SQL across Windows and Red Hat Linux environments.
• Diagnose and resolve integration defects by analyzing logs, configurations, and protocol traces; support deployments, commissioning, and cutovers (including off-hours/on-site as needed).
• Implement CI/CD and automation practices and manage virtualized environments (VMware/Hyper-V/Nutanix).
• Build data interfaces and reports with RDBMS and visualization tools (Power BI/Tableau/Crystal), ensuring accuracy, performance, and security.

• Bachelor’s or master’s in computer science, Electrical Engineering, or related field (or equivalent practical experience).
• 5+ years’ Experience (open to 2–5 years for strong near-match profiles).
• Candidate must have 5+ years integrating EMS/SCADA with ESB/IBUS, and hands-on programming in C/C++/Java with PL/SQL proficiency.
• Candidate will have experience configuring and troubleshooting integrations with field devices/RTUs, conducting protocol/log analysis, and supporting deployments/commissioning.

Pay Details: $56.00 to $71.00 per hour
