OUR PROJECT
The Senior Cloud Architect will support a growing initiative with a global leader in the Defense & Aerospace industry. This project focuses on the development of scalable, secure, and highly available cloud-based software solutions that integrate with existing non-cloud systems. The Software Engineer will contribute to mission-critical defense applications, supporting the organization’s cloud technology roadmap through modern microservices architectures, containerized workloads, and Dev Ops best practices.

This is a long-term contract position requiring full onsite presence in the Melbourne, FL area. Competitive compensation will be provided. WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR
We are seeking a Senior Cloud Architect with defense or avionics experience who combines strong backend development skills with modern cloud and microservices expertise. The ideal candidate brings hands-on skills in backend development using Java, C++ or Python and hands on experience building and deploying microservices and containerized workloads. You will have Cloud experience with AWS or GCP, including designing cloud-native solutions and frontend development experience using JavaScript frameworks.

• Experience designing and deploying scalable, containerized microservices, utilizing Java, C++, or Python (OOP) and modern distributed systems patterns.

• Experience building secure, available cloud environments with Terraform and Kubernetes, including networking, IAM, and production-grade infrastructure.

• Experience with automated CI/CD, Docker containerization, Kubernetes orchestration ensuring security, compliance, and observability in regulated defense environments.

• Ability to obtain and maintain an FAA Public Trust Clearance Effective written and verbal communication skills are required. Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States. No sponsorship and no third parties.
