Harris has an immediate opening for an experienced Cloud Software Engineer to join the Mission Networks team that provides modern, secure, reliable and resilient telecommunications networks and information management systems. The team develops critical communication capabilities for air traffic control, air-to-ground data communication, secure access to situational awareness data and secure information sharing to state agencies.

Harris is seeking a Tier 2 Engineer with experience in cloud infrastructure, containerization, automation, networking, and security. This role will support and maintain critical operational environments, troubleshoot complex technical issues, and contribute to the stability, security, and efficiency of deployed systems.
- Provide Tier 2 operational support for systems and services.
- Manage and support containerized applications using Docker, Kubernetes, and Open Shift.
- Support and maintain AWS cloud infrastructure and services.
- Build, manage, and optimize CI/CD pipelines for automated deployment and delivery.
- Troubleshoot networking issues and ensure reliable system connectivity.
- Implement and support security best practices across infrastructure and applications.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve incidents, improve system performance, and enhance operational processes.
- Monitor system health, performance, and availability to ensure operational excellence.
- Document procedures, troubleshooting steps, and system configurations.
- Ability to obtain and maintain an FAA public trust clearance.
- Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 4 years of prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 8 years of prior related experience.
- 2+ years’ experience with hands-on experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and Open Shift.
- Working knowledge of AWS cloud services.
- 2+ years’ experience with CI/CD pipeline tools and processes.
- Strong understanding of networking fundamentals and troubleshooting.
- Knowledge of cybersecurity principles and infrastructure security best practices.
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in an operations environment.
- Experience supporting production cloud environments.
- Familiarity with Dev Ops practices and automation tools.
- Relevant cloud, Kubernetes, Open Shift, or security certifications.
