DSP Communications Engineer

Join a confidential employer in Chantilly, Virginia, as a DSP Communications Engineer working on custom digital signal processing solutions for national security defense. This full-time, direct-hire role is ideal for a self-starter who thrives in a multi-disciplinary R&D environment alongside electrical engineers, mathematicians, and computer scientists. If you have a strong background in DSP and scientific programming, this is your chance to make a tangible impact.

Imagine a role where your daily efforts directly strengthen national security, applying your expertise in digital signal processing to solve real-world defense challenges. As a DSP Communications Engineer, you will be part of a mission-driven team creating custom communications solutions for the intelligence community. This is not a typical corporate job – it is a chance to work on classified projects that push the boundaries of technology while serving a higher purpose.

In this position, you will design and implement end-to-end communications systems, from algorithm development to hardware control and GUI design. You'll take ownership of the full software lifecycle, ensuring that every component is robust, secure, and mission-ready. Your work will span areas such as satellite communications, electronic warfare, signal geolocation, and interference canceling, directly impacting critical defense operations.

The ideal engineer thrives in a collaborative R&D setting, pairing deep technical knowledge with disciplined execution. You are equally comfortable debugging low-level C code and explaining system trade-offs to end users. With a strong background in DSP and scientific programming, you bring curiosity, rigour, and a commitment to producing well-tested, documented solutions.

If you're ready to take on a challenge that merges intellectual curiosity with national impact, apply now. This confidential opportunity offers the chance to grow in a supportive, cutting-edge environment where your contributions are visible and valued. Join a team that expects excellence and rewards it with meaningful work.
