Computer Systems Administrator
K is seeking a Computer Systems Administrator to support HQ Space Training and Readiness Command located at Patrick Space Force Base, Florida. A strong candidate will have background provisioning computer accounts, troubleshooting connectivity or configuration issues, and interacting with General/Flag officers and their staffs.
Key Responsibilities- Provide technical support for communications equipment, peripherals, networks, and software.
- Provide technical guidance in use of Microsoft Windows, peripheral/shared drive mapping, browser compatibility / configuration.
- Configure / maintain government-issued cell phones.
- Troubleshoot error messages, provide technical solutions, and open trouble tickets.
- Support users at all STARCOM HQ locations.
- Support and resolve issues within PWS-specified timelines.
- Provide systems accounts for NIPRNet and SIPRNET and systems support.
- Set up or modify user access to the classified internet and e-mail accounts.
- Troubleshoot connectivity or configuration issues.
- An active TS/SCI clearance is required to be considered for this job, which is something only a U.S. citizen can obtain.
- Security + Certification.
- 5+ years of experience supporting DoD networks and working with Comm Focal Points.
- Knowledge of USAF and US Space Force Information Technology policies and procedures.
- Self-Starter with the ability to work independently.
- Accustomed to professionally working with senior leaders.
- Experience with providing technical guidance to users.
- Ability to multi-task and produce high-quality products in a high-tempo, collaborative environment.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (i.e., Word, Excel).
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- The ability to work in a secure, confidential location (i.e., SCIF).
- BA/BS Degree
- Headquarters, Combatant Command or MAJCOM/Field Command experience.
